Lever sets

In 1778 the Englishman Robert Barron was the first one to have had a lever lock patented. The idea to build levers into a lock was groundbreaking and a radical innovation. This basic principle was later alterated by the english engineer Jeremia Chubb and forms the foundation of safe lock manufacturing until now. The mechanic safe locks by Wittkopp are based on Chubb's principle as well: They have several levers, which are lifted by the staged key bit to move the bolt.
